The Diocese of Charleston invites you to attend:

Fire at the Beach

Eucharist: Called, Nourished, Sent

September 18-19, 2009

Hilton Head, South Carolina

Fire at the Beach is a conference focusing on faith which the Diocese of Charleston sponsors every two years. Begun in 2005 by Bishop Robert Baker (now bishop of Birmingham, Alabama), this one will be unique in its new location--Hilton Head Island, at St. Francis by the Sea Church, instead of Myrtle Beach--and in the opportunity it will present for Catholics of the diocese to meet their new bishop, Most. Reverend Robert Guglielmone.

This year's theme, "Eucharist--Called, Nourished, Sent"--repeats the theme of the first Fire at the Beach event. The conference is designed for all Catholic adults who wish to grow in their faith, but it also offers some special features for catechists, youth ministers, parish and Catholic school staff, and volunteers who keep devotional life and outreach alive and well in our parishes and schools.

Information concerning registration will appear on this site in April. Speaker and Workshop information, along with Hotel connections are alrady posted.
